Winter Tree ID

Identifying trees in winter can be a challenge. Deciduous trees in particular set your powers of observation. This website is helpful Trees in Winter

You will notice that one of the criteria that they suggest is to look closely at the buds that will form the leaves next year. Not all trees have obvious buds at this time but I noticed these on a goat willow.

These come into the category of "large and alternate" (ie on alternate sides of the twig) which is right for goat willow. We get some good views of skeletal trees at sunset - what about this sycamore tree?

or this which elm.

Diary
We had a gang of about 15 long tailed tits on our bird feeders today. They are always on the move and we see them for a few days and then they move on. A stoat was seen on the lane by the house this morning. I am not 100% sure but this image from last night's camera trap might be a young otter.
