Where to Watch Wildlife. in the Upper Eden Valley

A couple of years ago I started to put together a booklet to point people towards wildlife spots in our local area. I had hoped to persuade the local Wildlife Trust to publish it but it seems to have come to nothing so far. Perhaps I will revive it when the Covid disruption is over (whenever that will be!).

This link will take you to my website where I have listed good sites to watch wildlife.

                                                                          Diary

I noticed an article in my newspaper today where £40,000 has been spent connecting two populations of dormice that live on opposite sides of a railway line! Doormice  It's nice to see that people care but it looks like a hell of a lot of money to build a little bridge! Somebody is doing well out of it.

Not much on the trail cams but I did disturb a snipe on my walk out to collect in the cameras this morning. Its gone mild again before another forecast cold snap later in the week. The Northern  Lights were supposed to have been visible from here last night - I get alerts on my phone and the orange section of the graph is the time to look. However , Gods that rule these things decreed that it be cloudy here last night so I saw nothing.
