A Visit to Tarn Sike

I visited Tarn Sike Reserve today and I see a different flora and fauna there than  I see at the house. How about this Marsh Cinquefoil for example? I should have included their five fingered leaves as well but its the flower that is worth looking at.

I also saw dozens of impressive early marsh orchid.

The bird life is different too. We don't see meadow pipit down here.

Diary
I saw a lone young stoat by the stream about 100m from the house today. I suspect it is one from "our" family and that the young stoats have now been chucked out to fend for themselves. The spotted flycatcher chicks still haven't fledged but the adults are very busy feeding them. The knapweed is starting to come into flower in the meadow. Nothing on the trail cams to report. I made a bad job of siting them last night and caught a lot of vegetation waving about!
