Hebrew Character

I set my moth trap last night and was pleased to capture a Hebrew Character moth (great names these moths!).

I caught half a dozen of these and a couple of others that I couldn't identify beyond saying they were cutworm moths. The trap is a light trap and I am posting a picture from last summer when my granddaughters were having a go at it.

It was a warm day today (by Cumbrian standards) and I saw my first couple of butterflies off the year. Both peacock butterflies. These are often seen early because they overwinter as adults and are out as soon as the weather is warm enough.
Here is a pic of a peacock butterfly from my archives.

Overnight cameras caught a good shot of a buck roe deer.
