Just a Robin

I have been promising myself that before all the snow went I would get a photograph of one of the robins in the garden to use at my Christmas card for next year. This one is my best effort so far.
This seems to be a busy times for robins. We see them every day around the bird feeders and I have seen up to 5 at a time this year. There seems to have been a lot of in fighting going on with robins pecking aggressively at one another and holding one another on the ground. Robins are unusual in that they defend a territory throughout the year. I guess that a territory that includes a bird feeder is worth fighting for! Robins do a lot of singing - singing throughout the year , and when there is a dawn chorus later in the year they are one of the first species that start off the chorus.
